Manual Brain Approach 1 (MATB1)

Manual Approach to the Brain · Level 1

MATB1 — Manual Brain Approach 1

The first level of J.P. Barral’s brain-manipulation series. An entirely new manual approach to the central nervous system and its cranial environment.

3 days · 18 CE In-person · Madrid On request Prerequisite: VM1–VM5, NM1–NM4

Synopsis

MATB1 introduces Jean-Pierre Barral’s manual approach to the brain. Participants learn specific palpatory and mobilization techniques developed over years of research and clinical observation.

The course covers cranial anatomy relevant to manual work, brain lobes, venous sinuses and the interfaces between cranial membranes and brain tissue. Practice is supervised in small groups to ensure a safe and refined touch.

Content

Cranial bones · Venous sinuses · Brain lobes · Membranous interfaces · Global cranial listening

Learning objectives

  • Understand the manual anatomy of the cranium and brain
  • Apply Barral’s palpation and mobilization techniques to the cranial tissues
  • Integrate MATB with visceral and neural work learned previously
  • Recognize indications and safety limits for brain-level manual work
  • Consolidate a global approach to complex neurological presentations
