Neural Manipulation · Introductory level
NM1 — Peripheral Nervous System
Introduction to the Barral approach to the nervous system. Evaluation and mobilization of the main peripheral nerves of trunk and limbs.
Synopsis
NM1 introduces the principles of Neural Manipulation: the mobility, elasticity and vascularization of the nervous system, and the mechanical consequences of losing them.
Participants learn neurological palpation, nerve mobility testing and basic release techniques for the main peripheral nerves of the trunk and limbs.
What you will work on
Brachial plexus branches · Femoral · Sciatic · Tibial · Peroneal · Median · Ulnar · Radial nerves
Learning objectives
- →Understand the principles of neural mobility and elasticity
- →Locate and palpate the main peripheral nerves of the trunk and limbs
- →Apply basic nerve mobility tests and release techniques
- →Recognize red flags and contraindications for neural manipulation
- →Integrate NM work with Visceral Manipulation knowledge
