For certified Barral practitioners
Advanced courses
Specialized programs for professionals who have completed the foundational levels and want to expand their clinical toolkit. Developed and certified by Barral Institute International.
Take your practice further
Advanced courses assume solid foundations in Visceral Manipulation (VM1–VM5) and, in several cases, Neural Manipulation. They go deeper into specific clinical applications — neuroendocrine effects, viscero-articular relationships, disc disorders, cranial-cervical interfaces and strategic crossing points of the body.
Each program is taught by Barral Institute International faculty and qualifies for the Barral Diplomate pathway. Contact us to confirm your prerequisites before enrolling.
Prerequisites in brief
- →VM1–VM5 completed for most advanced visceral programs
- →NM1–NM3 recommended before cranial/neural advanced work
- →Active clinical practice highly recommended
- →Valid healthcare license (PT, DO, MD, DC, RN)
5 advanced specializations
Advanced visceral and integrative programs
AVMHC — Physiological and Neuroendocrine Effects of Soft Tissue Treatment
Deep exploration of the physiological and neuroendocrine mechanisms triggered by visceral manipulation. Clinical applications for complex chronic conditions.
VMAT — Advanced Visceral Components of the Neck and Thorax
Detailed cervical and thoracic anatomy from the visceral perspective: pharynx, larynx, thyroid, thymus, pericardium. Treatment of referred cervicothoracic pain.
AVMVOR — Osteoarticular and Visceral Relationships
The bidirectional dialogue between the musculoskeletal system and internal organs. How visceral restrictions drive articular dysfunction, and vice versa.
BICADD — Clinical Applications for Disc Disorders
Soft-tissue approaches to disc conditions. Integration of visceral, neural and fascial work for chronic low-back and cervical disc issues.
SCB1 — Strategic Body Crossings 1
The key anatomical crossings where fasciae, nerves, vessels and organs intersect. Diagnostic and treatment strategies for complex multisystem symptoms.
